THE KEYS TO THEIR SUCCESS: As part of Fine Arts Week, the piano programs showcased its talent in the main hall this Wednesday during lunch. Piano majors performed several pieces on a keyboard. Sophomore Rylee Sterns is a piano major in Instrumental Ensemble II who has been playing since she was 5 years old. “It feels good showing more people about the piano program and hearing all the amazing pianists we have,” Sterns said. Many piano majors also participated in competitions this year, with several of them heading to State in the future. “I’m super proud of our program,” Sterns said. “Especially the people that are going to State and who are performing in front of others.” The piano program has also helped Sterns grow in her confidence and skill over her two years in the program to this point. “I’ve grown more comfortable playing in front of people,” Sterns said. “I used to be super scared to play in front of others, but I’ve become a lot more comfortable.” Caption by Daniela Di-C...
