KNIGHTS 23, STARS 1: The softball team annihilated Ann Richards on Friday, April 11. “It was so fun,” said sophomore Natalie Myrick, who was one of two Knights to bat twice in the team’s seven-run first inning. “When we’re up by that much, we can really just focus on having and playing the game we love.” Myrick said that both Tullulah McColgin and Jazzy Urdy pitched really well, and helped them towards victory. McGolgin pitched two shutout innings to start the game, allowing only one hit and striking out one with no walks. Urdy pitched the third inning. She struck out two Stars and allowed a single run. McColgin and Urgy also scored three runs each. McGolgin drove in three runs, and Urdy had three hits including a double and a triple. “We did a really good job on offense,” Myrick said. One key offensive contributor was Junior Grace Yemington, who went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple. She drove in four runs and scored three times. “The whole game was high energy and ...
