When Paul sat down for a meeting one morning, he didn’t expect his day to take a turn. At first, the words on his paper looked blurry. But then, a colleague noticed something more alarming and quickly suggested he might be having a stroke.
In an incredible chain of fast actions, Paul’s colleague rushed him to Bryn Mawr Hospital where the medical team, including Dr. Ravichandra Madineni, Chief of Neurosurgery at Main Line Health-Jefferson Neurosurgery at Bryn Mawr Hospital, immediately sprang into action.
Within minutes, Paul was on a gurney, receiving IV treatment and getting a CT scan. By 9:45 a.m., Dr. Madineni and the team identified a hemorrhagic stroke — an urgent medical situation that could have resulted in lasting damage.
