Your sacrifices, achievements and example continue to inspire others.   Future Thunderbird women athletes and coaches will be supported by the Marilyn Pomfret Memorial Award for Women in Athletics. This newly established endowment has been made possible thanks to a transformative, 1-million dollar gift from Lynda Hamilton, and is named in honour of a true trailblazer for the UBC Thunderbirds. This is the largest donation ever dedicated to supporting women athletes in UBC’s history and it will empower the next generation of T-Bird women athletes and coaches.
