MAYA GRACE | a film by Maya Collins & Rilee Malloy Growing up I shared my love of cameras with my best friend, Maya Grace Collins. To put it simply, Maya’s the most awesome person I’ve ever met. She lived her life with grace, led with kindness, and was pretty funny too. Our sleepovers were spent making music videos and movie trailers and we talked about graduating, marrying a set of twins and living in a cul de sac, and making our own movie one day. When she passed away in 2017 after complications from her third battle with leukemia, I knew I had 2 options — let my grief consume me, or live out our shared dreams in her honor.
