On Sunday, April 27, Columbia hosted its annual Earth Day Festival, taking up Peace Park and downtown. The festival included live music, educational opportunities and dozens of vendors and booths with unique items being sold. Coordinator Laura Wacker said that along with entertainment, the education aspect of this festival is especially important. “The great thing about the Columbia area Earth Day Festival is that it's really fun,” Wacker said. “We have great music.
