CRUNCHY HONEYCOMB CAKE IN SAN MATEO, CA CLAIRE’S CRUNCH CAKE 233 N GRANT ST SAN MATEO, CA My bad ya, it’s actually San Mateo but it’s borderline Burlingame. This cake is crazy! I’ve never had one with honeycomb. The honeycomb is super crispy on the first bite but it kind of melts and gets sticky in between your teeth. Texture kinda reminds me of styrofoam but crispier 🤣. It kinda has a bitter taste towards the end. The lemon cake is somewhat dense and hella moist. Not too sweet at all. I feel like it’s the perfect combo with the honeycomb.
