We're back with more #stjosephs130th trivia! 📜 Did you know? St. Joseph’s opened at its current location in midtown Phoenix in 1953. Our records indicate it was a massive undertaking to move patients from the hospital's Polk Street location to Thomas Road. Diaper trucks, hearses and station wagons were among the many vehicles used to transport 72 adults and 27 babies to the new hospital. A baby boom of sorts added to the chaos. Four sets of twins were born at the hospital within two days of the new facility opening its doors. ❓ Were you or any of your relatives among the 57,000+ visitors who streamed through the hospital during the last two days of open house festivities? Let us know in the comments!
