Sunday, May 4th, was International Firefighters Day, a day dedicated to recognizing and honoring the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of firefighters worldwide.
These firefighters include the thousands of Southern California firefighters who battled the Eaton and Palisades fires.
Many of those firefighters are now dealing with health symptoms as they await blood test results to show the level of heavy metals and toxins in their bodies.
Pasadena Fire Captain Dave Marquez said, "For many of us it was the worst exposure of our careers. Everybody shared similar symptoms."
