Meet Rutgers’ youngest 2025 grad: 18-year-old Alex Geppert.🎓 ⠀ After earning two associate degrees before finishing high school, Alex enrolled at Rutgers–New Brunswick as a junior. In just two years, he double-majored in computer science and data science, rowed D1 crew, and joined cutting-edge AI and robotics research — building a system that uses computer vision to control a robotic hand in real time. ⠀ Alex balanced intense coursework, daily 7 a.m. crew practice, and hands-on research — all while commuting from home. ⠀ With support from mentors and teammates, he’s now heading to a fully funded Ph.D. program in artificial intelligence, ready to build tech that strengthens human thinking, not replaces it. “I want to build AI that helps people reason through complex problems,” he said. ⠀ Congratulations Alex!
