Stormtroopers, Mandalorians and Rebel pilots took over Portland International Airport on May the Fourth — the unofficial Star Wars Day — to give 5-year-old Raiden “Ray Ray” Pham a sendoff worthy of a Jedi. Raiden, who lives with a rare genetic disorder called UBA5, was flying to Disney’s Aulani resort in Hawaii thanks to Make-A-Wish Oregon.
His parents have raised $1.3 million to fund research into the ultra-rare condition, with hopes of advancing a potential treatment to clinical trials.
