We're not sure what happened yesterday—we think a penguin stole our phone! Speaking of which, did you know that emperor penguins have adapted to live in one of the harshest environments on Earth? From diving off extraordinarily high cliffs to diving down to depths of over 1,600 feet (488 meters) in the ocean, these birds are capable of incredible feats of survival. Their hardiness is especially notable during nesting season, when females lay eggs in temperatures as low as minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and males can go nearly four months without food while incubating the eggs. Read more about the remarkable fortitude of emperor penguins at the link in bio. #SecretsOfThePenguins is now streaming on DisneyPlus and hulu.
