A lover of walking through markets, buying flowers, and seeing color in textiles and people, Luvia is a Zapotec photographer from Teotitl谩n del Valle who uses photography to portray the worlds she belongs to. Her work captures reality from the perspective of the contemporary Zapotec woman, weaving a constellation of images across Oaxaca that document generational gaps and the transformation of identities over time.
She is a recipient of the J贸venes Creadores grant from FONCA (2020) and the inaugural Indigenous Photo Grant (2021) supported by Leica and Photoville.
