ASUC Judicial Council found External Affairs Vice President-elect Calvin Yang not guilty on all 128 counts of alleged violations of ASUC bylaws. The Judicial Council is a nonpartisan body that works to ensure that the actions conducted by the ASUC are in line with the ASUC constitution and bylaws, according to previous coverage by The Daily Californian. BAB was a campus campaign advocating for the BayPass ballot referendum. The campaign refrained from endorsing any candidates during the ASUC election. “I ran a fair and an honest campaign,” Yang said. “I was greatly surprised when, at least to my understanding, an unprecedented 128-censure count complaint had been filed by the petitioner right after the election.” Yang was informed April 17 that the Judicial Council would move forward with the hearing.
