Have you ever done this before? I’ve heard parents tell me they went behind their kids with pots and pans to check their kids hearing - and if I didn’t know what I know now, I’d probably do the same thing. Sound waves travel via movement of molecules. Molecules make up anything - solids, liquids or gases. So when you’re banging pots and pans, yelling at the top of your lungs, stomping your feet, clapping hands - you’re causing all of the molecules to vibrate - which is why, if you’re close enough you/your child may be able to feel it. Try holding a balloon near a speaker playing music🎈You’ll feel all of the wonderful vibrations! Deaf/hard of hearing people are often much more sensitive to feeling sound vibrations or changes in air pressure. Drop a 🌀if this helped! For example: I can often feel my husband opening our bedroom door while sleeping because of the shift in air movement. What other superpowers do you notice DHH individuals have?? ID: Michelle wearing a gray tank top...
