Two people from Alabama are among the 205 arrested as part of the U.S. Department of Justice's latest coordinated enforcement effort to identify, track and arrest child sex predators. Jalan Christophe Lewis, 31, of Tuscaloosa was charged with attempted coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, sexual exploitation of children, and distribution of child pornography. Also in Alabama, 28-year-old Robert John Newman Jr. of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, was charged with sexual exploitation of children, coercion and enticement of a minor, and traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. Operation Restore Justice also resulted in the rescue of 115 children. The coordinated effort was executed over the course of five days by all 55 FBI field offices, the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section in the Department’s Criminal Division, and United States Attorney’s Offices around the country.
