In the 15 years since Kyron Horman vanished from a Portland elementary school, the mystery of what happened that late spring morning endures.
The original detectives long ago retired. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office has revealed little new about the investigation. District attorneys have prosecuted no one.
His mother knows time is not on investigators’ side.
“We’re at a 15-year mark, which is not a good place to be in any investigation, especially not a missing child investigation,” said Kyron’s mother, Desiree Young.
But newly elected Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez says he has a team that is looking at Kyron's case again with fresh eyes.
