Full Speed Ahead! The University of Michigan Symphony Band launched into tour with an unforgettable concert, featuring Zoom by Scott Boerma, Niagara Falls by U-M’s own Michael Daugherty, and a stunning performance of Quinn Mason’s Trombone Concerto with Professor David Jackson. The day kicked off with Mr. Nicholas Taylor—U-M alum and Belleville High School director—leading a combined ensemble of Belleville and U-M musicians. Second-year doctoral conductor DaJuan Brooks took the podium for one of the featured works as well. An incredible start to a journey filled with powerful music, shared moments, and great memories.
