Happy National Tourism Day! 🧳 Today part of our Convention Center team took a step back in time with the “Hit the Bricks Tour” led by the incredible crew at Discover St. Charles. We explored the heart of our Historic District—where cobblestone streets meet captivating stories—and learned why tourism in St. Charles County is a $1.2 billion industry! 💸 From Louis Blanchette, our French fur trapper founder, to Daniel Boone’s frontier legacy, and the departure point of Lewis & Clark’s great expedition, Main Street holds centuries of adventure. We peeked into haunted corners, savored legends of covered wagons, and even visited the largest soda museum in the world. 🥤 Stops like Grandma’s Cookies 🍪 (voted #1 by USA Today!), the Foundry Art Center, Under the Yellow Umbrella, Cozy Shop, Moss, Jake's on Main, and others reminded us how much local businesses contribute to our vibrant tourism scene.
