❄️ On this (wet) first day of winter, we’re taking a cue from Nordic cultures and learning to embrace the season. Kari Leibowitz, health psychologist and winter mindset expert, shared these tips in her recent interview with @NPR (link in bio):
✨ Reframe winter as an opportunity for coziness and connection: "It’s not the cold that’s hard; it’s how we think about it."
✨ Go outside anyway: "There’s no bad weather, only bad clothing." Bundle up and enjoy!
✨ Add warmth and light to your space with candles, blankets, and twinkling lights—winter can be "cozy, magical, and refreshing."
✨ Find joy in small things: savor simple winter pleasures like a warm drink or a snowy walk.
You can join Kari for a virtual workshop on Jan. 7 to learn practical ways to embrace winter for yourself. Details in bio 🕯️
