Congratulations to our very own Executive Director/CEO Eric Nelson! 🎉 Eric was awarded a knighthood in the Order of the Falcon by the President of Iceland, Guðni Johannesson last night during a private ceremony at the presidential residence at Bessastaðir, Iceland. The knighthood honors Eric's efforts to create a platform to explore and share Nordic culture, art, and values, and for his longstanding work advancing Icelandic-American relations. This is the fourth time Eric has received a knighthood from a Nordic Head of State, having previously been named Knight of the Order of the White Rose of Finland by the President Sauli Niinistö of Finland, Knight First Class of the Royal Order of the Polar Star by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, and Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, Knight First Class, by His Majesty King Harald V of Norway. 📷 Sif Gunnarsdóttir
