In honor of Oscars season...twenty years ago, Peter Jackson’s final installment in the Lord of the Rings trilogy took home Best Picture at the 76th Academy Awards, winning all 11 of the categories it was nominated for. Only three films have every achieved 11 Oscar wins in the 95-year history of the awards. Time is running out to get your tickets for tomorrow’s screening of THE RETURN OF THE KING at the National Nordic Museum! Enjoy a pre-show lightning lecture from @uwscand’s Drs. Colin Connors and Lauren Poyer as they dive into Tolkien’s Norse inspirations and help us answer the question: how accurate is this? Tickets can be found at the #linkinbio! ⚔️
