Archives and Collections Graduate Intern Katherine Hinman hard at work on a porcelain plate in our Collection! This stunning piece dates to 1903, made by Royal Copenhagen Porcelain to commemorate 40 years of King Christian IX’s reign of Denmark. Swipe for a closer look 🇩🇰
Katherine comes to us from the University of Washington's Museology Graduate Program, where she's entering her second year: "I am interested in going into Museum Collections and Archives work after graduation, so this was a great learning experience and an opportunity for me to put the museum best practices I learned in my classes to work in a professional setting."
The National Nordic Museum is proud to work closely with the University of Washington and its students to foster the growth of future museum professionals! Learn more about the Museology Program at washington.edu/museology.
