In honor of one of the artist's scent and sound sculptures arriving in Fjord Hall, as well as the Sigur Ros concert happening tonight at the Paramount Theater, we're offering half-price admission today until 5pm! About “Iridian light vs loom evil”: Now through October 29, visitors can experience Jónsi’s "Iridian light vs loom evil", a sculpture comprised of speaker horns, the appearance of which have been transformed with the application of the chemical element bismuth. Bismuth transmutes into iridescent “hopper crystals,” imparting a pink-metallic luster to the sculpture. Jónsi selected this bismuth to allude to the LGBTQ+ experience of coming out, which ultimately culminates with a new beginning.
