My first words when I saw them this morning were “how dare you show up in caps and gowns and pretend you’re all leaving us….!” As coaches, we kind of dread May. It means it’s time for another class to walk over the Crim Dell Bridge, and off the field at Albert Daly one last time. Of course, our ultimate goal is to play a small part in their journey, hope that we can contribute even a little to their growth and maturity during the fastest four years of their lives, and send them off into the world as strong, confident women ready to tackle any challenge! But, that doesn’t mean it’s ever easy. Parents know the punch in the gut feeling of children leaving the nest for college….and well, we get to experience that every year. It’s certainly always very mixed emotions. This class is as special as they come in every possible way. Thank you for trusting us all those years ago when we promised it would be the best four years of your lives. Thank you for the blood, sweat and tears you...
