Today, May 9th, 2025, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the television debut of Kermit the Frog and The Muppets, the California Legislature has honored Kermit with an official proclamation from the State of California, presented by Assembly Member Nick Schultz of California’s 44th Assembly District. In part, the proclamation celebrates the sharing of this “beloved and iconic character with audiences around the world, who have been educated, entertained, and touched by the unique and engaging personality Kermit presents to his innumerable fans.” #KermittheFrogDay #TheMuppets70
