The COLDEST temperature ever recorded in Iceland was −38.0°C (−36.4°F). This occurred on January 22, 1918 in Grímsstaðir and Möðrudalur. Thankfully the NEW all-electric BMW iX (official support vehicle for our 1,000 mile swim around Iceland) can pre-condition its interior to the perfect temperature after every session, so that recovery between swims starts immediately when I shut the door.
