And now, as they take the court for this weekend’s All-Catholic Championships, let’s meet your 2025 CHS Tennis Crusaders, from hometowns across Western New York ... The Crusaders will try to be the best of the brackets as the singles and doubles championships are held today and tomorrow at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park. Play begins at 9 a.m. on both days for CHS and longtime excellent coach Steve Joyce. Erik Kraus ’25 of Clarence Center is the No. 2 seed in the singles draw while Connor Jackson ’26 of Williamsville is also in the 12-player field. Canisius has three doubles teams competing, headed by No. 2 seed Tommy Sheehan ’25 of Buffalo and Austin Carney ’25 of Amherst. Also in the field of 16 teams are Ryan Egnatchik ’28 of Lake View and Jack Richards ’28 of Buffalo as well as brothers Gary Hall ’26 and Rocco Hall ’28 of Lewiston.
