Breaking the cycle of violence takes trust, healing, and relationships. We're #MedStarHealthProud to partner with ROCA , to support young people whose lives have broken free from urban violence through mentorship, workforce training, and second-chance job opportunities. Many young men enter the Roca program without a solid foundation at home. Roca means "rock" in Spanish. Last week's moving panel discussion with young Roca members opened the floor to experiences, perceptions, and ideas to change the cycle of violence.
