In fall, the ASUC Senate passed 27 resolutions and this spring, they passed another 70. Of the total resolutions brought to the senate, only nine resolutions were tabled indefinitely, including a Hindu Heritage Month Proclamation, a ban on political parties in the ASUC and a call for campus to reaffirm its campus sanctuary status.
This past election’s voter turnout was the second highest in the last seven years. Nearly 34% of the undergraduate student body, or 11,178 undergraduates, voted this April, and 3,329 graduate students, or around 26% of the graduate student body, also turned out.
