We were proud to stand alongside the March of Dimes and Mind the Gap at the March for Change Rally, raising our voices for maternal mental health.Families and advocates from across North Carolina showed up at the General Assembly to demand urgent action because every mom deserves care, and every family deserves support. Mental health conditions are the leading cause of pregnancy-related deaths in North Carolina. From 2018–2019, 24 out of 76 maternal deaths were linked to mental health. And 1 in 5 women across the U.S. experience postpartum depression or anxiety, yet many still aren't screened or supported. Mothers deserve better. Families deserve better.
