Earlier this week, karns_highschool, along with liaison Kylie Heyward, and the entire Unified program, was recognized as a National Unified Champion School for their outstanding efforts in creating an inclusive school climate by meeting 10 national standards. Karns High School is one of eight Unified Champion Schools in Tennessee that have reached National Banner status. In addition, they were also recognized as 1 of 33 schools in the nation to make ESPN's Honor Roll this school year.
