Presenting the Loro Piana Knit Design Award 2025, Winter Legacy – Translating Linen into Heritage Knitwear. Now in its 9th edition, the Knit Design Award invites international students to present their creative interpretations of the House’s iconic yarns that epitomise a legacy in textile excellence. Themed on the idea of a Winter Legacy, this year’s competition asks participants to translate linen into heritage knitwear and blend with traditional Loro Piana winter yarns to create original pieces. Since 2016, this initiative has engaged talents from the world’s most prestigious fashion design schools – supporting a new generation of designers and transmitting the Maison’s knitwear expertise and savoir-faire.
