As a Perinatal Specialist, I support maternal mental health by educating healthcare professionals, reviewing policies and guidance, and shaping evidence-informed recommendations that prioritise safety, respect, and emotional well-being. My work focuses on equipping practitioners with the tools to recognise and respond to trauma, address disparities in care, and uphold the principles of informed consent—particularly for those from minoritised and marginalised communities. Through clinical training, policy consultation, and strategic advocacy, I aim to build systems where mental health is not treated as an afterthought but integrated into every aspect of maternity care.
