First-time parents Lacey and Ross Warren saw their newborn daughter Rawlings admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at just days old. During Rawlings' nearly monthlong stay, the care team formed a close bond with the Warren family, offering not just expert medical support but also compassion and connection that helped them navigate this difficult journey. "First-time parents spending the first weeks of their child’s life in the hospital can be an all-too-common story for our unit. I connected with the Warrens through laughter to bring a lightness to their dark time,” said Corbin Martin, a staff nurse III.
