Congratulations to our Athlete of the Week! Senior Owen Montlack-Friedman has been a consistent contributor on the Raider Boys Golf Team this season. At the Wolverine Invitational in April, Owen shot a 1-under par 71 for the Raiders, which, according to Coach Germano, was Riverwood’s first sub-par tournament round in at least 12 years. His finish landed him in 2nd place in the 75-player field. Then at the Area Tournament, Owen shot a 79, surviving a first-hole triple bogey and bouncing back with another sub-80 round and thus helping the Raiders finish 2nd in the Tournament with an automatic qualification for the State Tournament next week. Coach Germano stated, “Owen’s resilience was a highlight of the Area Tournament round. To be able to bounce back after a triple bogey and finish with a score the team really needed to stay in second place is a testament to our post-season success.” #RICSRaiders | #RICSGolf
