The May 18th Training Ride’s Lanterne Rouge is queerplusbikes!! We love how in the cycling community, we all know each other or are one connection away. Their consistent presence over the past four years has enabled so many to find a welcoming home within cycling. Queer+ Bikes is a is a queer-centered cycling and community group, started by B Steele (he/they) besteele & Lauren Mehl (she/her) lo.n.bhold in the Fall of 2022. Not only will they be our lanterne rouge on the shorter route for our May Training Ride FoCo Fondo partners with queerplusbikes for our LGBTQ+ community dinner during FoCo Fondo weekend - last year we had 65+ attendees! They have also partnered with us this year to provide 5 additional entry scholarships for the friendsoffocofondo non-binary / gender expansive program!
