Monarch butterflies urgently need your help. These iconic orange-and-black beauties were once common in backyards across the U.S. Last year, after a decade of work by the Center and allies, the Service finally proposed to protect monarchs under the Endangered Species Act. Finalized protection can’t come soon enough. Their eastern population, which migrates to Mexico for the winter, has plummeted by 85% in the past 25 years. Meanwhile, their western population, which winters on the California coast, has fallen by 95%. You can help. Join us in urging the USFWS wrap up protection before it's too late. 🦋 [Image description: A close up of monarch butterflies with text that says, "We can't let monarchs go extinct.
