Checking in with another of our Fulbright recipients, Phoebe Brown ’24! “I have loved living on the island of Lanzarote, where I teach infantil and primaria students," she says. "The majority of my students are migrants from Morocco, sub-Saharan Africa, and South America, making this experience both gratifying and eye-opening as I learn to facilitate conversations about cultural identity within the classroom. Beyond teaching, I am excited to be volunteering with the Red Cross on the island and continuing to improve my Spanish through language classes.
