WE ARE proud to announce the latest class of deputy sheriffs, ready to serve their communities! On September 1st, 36 dedicated individuals graduated from the Pennsylvania Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Education and Training Program at Penn State. 👮‍♂️🎓 Run by the Penn State Justice and Safety Institute (JASI), this academy equips newly hired sheriffs and deputy sheriffs from all 67 counties in Pennsylvania with the skills they need to protect and serve. This class marks the 66th graduating class since the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency selected Penn State JASI as the program's administrator in 2000. The training is made possible by the collaborative efforts of sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, judges, attorneys, and local, state, and federal law enforcement officers. Congratulations to the class of 2023! 🎉 Read more 👀 about the 66th JASI graduation using the link in our bio 📲 🏷️: #PennStateOutreach #WeAre #PennState #JASI #JASIPSU #LawEnforcement #CommunityService ...
