SU sophomore Ava Lubkemann dumpster dives around campus, often finding brand-name items in perfect condition. She hopes to provide awareness of clothing waste on campus.
Since last fall, she has won nearly $20,000 for Revamped, her affordable thrift store on wheels. Revamped hosts pop-up shops on campus and sells low-cost fabric scraps to student fashion designers to make fashion more sustainable and encourage thrifting.
“I hope that on campus, people can continue to look at what I've done, and use it as a roadmap of sorts to what can happen with just a little belief,” Lubkemann said.
