After two years as a student intern with the communications department at Temple Football, Aaron Mannicci sought increased involvement in the program. As he transitioned into the Owls’ recruitment team, Fran Brown was hired as Temple's defensive backs coach. Since that 2019 overlap, the pair's careers have been intertwined.⁠ ⁠ When Brown was hired at Syracuse University last November, Mannicci followed Brown to Syracuse to become the Orange's director of scouting.
