Every spring, Shaver's Creek Environmental Center transforms into a hub of hands-on learning and sweet tradition during the beloved Maple Harvest Festival. 🌳🍁 This two-day event invites the community to experience the magic of maple sugaring—from tree-tapping demonstrations and syrup boiling to storytelling and nature walks. At the heart of the festival are Penn State students in the Interpreting Maple Sugaring to Families course, who help bring it all to life. They learn the science and history of sugaring and share those lessons with visitors of all ages.
