At Shaver's Creek Environmental Center, Wildlife Program Director Paige Sutherland is helping animals and students grow side by side. Birds like Stellar the Northern Goshawk and Jane the Sandhill Crane are trained to be wildlife ambassadors, giving visitors a personal connection to conservation. 🐍🌱 But the impact goes beyond the animals—students like Brooke Phillips are also finding their calling here. Through hands-on experiences in Shaver’s Creek’s Career Development Program, Brooke has spent semesters working alongside wildlife, applying classroom knowledge in real-time, and preparing for a career in conservation. Rooted in care, curiosity, and connection, read more on how Shaver’s Creek is preserving biodiversity and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards using the link in our bio!
