Dennis Wilkes did not go to school to become an educator, but in many ways, his art degree led him to become one at the Orange Grove Center, a nonprofit assisting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in having fruitful lives.
For 51 years, Wilkes’ roles at the nonprofit have evolved, and while his title is art coordinator, he also does woodworking, graphics and photography, completing tasks on demand.
