A developer has plans to put new residences on a tract now holding a 100-year-old, rundown building long seen as an eyesore next to Finley Stadium on Chattanooga's Southside.
KH Property Group of Dunwoody, Georgia, is seeking rezoning where the Parkway Towers building is at 1823 Reggie White Blvd. for a six-story structure, according to a filing with Chattanooga planners.
Parkway Towers, which has the graffiti-painted word "JUNK" on one side of its top level, was built around 1920. The 16,730-square-foot building sits on 1 acre, according to Hamilton County records.
