Chattanoogans have about 10 days left to cross the Walnut Street Bridge before the historic landmark closes for an 18-month renovation project. The city has designated Veterans Bridge as the alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists during the renovation, according to a news release. The route will feature lane closures and protective barriers for safety.
