When Landas Richards, 35, was in high school, he probably couldn't have guessed that watching a visiting chef set fire to a skillet of bananas would help him find his calling. "There was a chef who came to our class and gave a lesson on Bananas Foster," he recalls. "I already had an interest in food, but seeing the flambé he made was the spark I needed to further my interest for my future career." Not only was his interest sparked, but that positive impression eventually led the 2007 Ooltewah High School graduate back to his alma mater.
