A new partnership between Hixson High and Hamilton County EMS trains students to become emergency medical professionals.
On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, students spend four hours at the EMS training center being taught by EMS training officers. In the afternoons, they head back to campus, where there's a lab set up for them to continue their skills practice, test corrections and homework, health science teacher Hannah Bartkiewicz said.
