Deallaney Hudson, a 20-year-old Greenville native, recently graduated with a degree in recreational therapy from East Carolina University’s Department of Recreation Sciences and she will soon begin a 14-week internship at ECU Health in pediatric inpatient rehabilitation. Hudson was diagnosed with neonatal progeroid syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by accelerated aging.
“I told myself that I always wanted to be a Pirate one day, and here I am graduating. It’s amazing all the different opportunities and the wide variety you have available here at ECU,” said Hudson.
